The Sultan of Sokoto and President General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has announced Sunday, March 31, 2025, as Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan.

The declaration follows the sighting of the Shawwal 1446AH crescent in parts of Nigeria, confirming the conclusion of the holy month of fasting. The Sultan is expected to provide further details in his official announcement.

Nigerian Muslims have been congratulated on the occasion, as the faithful prepare to observe Eid prayers and celebrations nationwide.
