Improved Hajj experience awaits 2026 Hajj Pilgrims

The Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites has inaugurated the “Kidana Path” in Muzdalifah, a major infrastructure project designed to improve the experience of pilgrims during the Hajj season.

The new pathway system features rubber flooring covering over 150,000 square meters, providing a comfortable and safe surface for pilgrims moving through the area, Commercial area and mist fan-eqquipped rest zones to enhance convenience during Hajj rituals and Dedicated cart lanes introduced for elderly and special needs pilgrims

The development features a specially designed walkway constructed to high safety standards, along with a dedicated path for carts to assist elderly pilgrims and those with special needs.

The project also incorporates designated zones for commercial shops, restaurants, and cafés, offering essential services to pilgrims during their stay in Muzdalifah.

Engineer Saleh Al-Rasheed, CEO of the Royal Commission, stated that the Kidana Path represents a strategic investment in pilgrim infrastructure, combining functionality with comfort to ensure a more accessible and organized Hajj experience.

Additionally, shaded rest areas equipped with misting fans have been installed to provide relief from the heat, aligning with the Commission’s efforts to enhance pilgrim comfort through climate mitigation technologies.
