Leaders stress stronger ties and collective action to overcome regional challenges.

During a meeting on Sunday, Iran’s President Pezeshkian and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan highlighted the importance of unity and cooperation among Muslim nations.

Pezeshkian noted the sensitive situation facing the Islamic world, saying that at a time when common enemies are increasing pressure, Muslim countries should support one another and avoid creating regional tensions. “Iranians and Turks are brothers,” he added.

The president described Tehran-Ankara relations as deeply rooted in shared history and culture, with great potential for growth. He emphasized that if Muslim nations act together in solidarity and share experiences, no outside power can cause them harm.

Pointing to Europe’s journey from historical rivalries to economic and political integration, Pezeshkian said Muslim countries, with even stronger cultural ties, can also achieve collective progress through trade, knowledge, and cultural exchange.

Fidan, delivering greetings from Turkey’s president, praised Pezeshkian’s commitment to the Islamic world. He stressed that internal divisions have cost Muslim nations valuable time, and today’s challenges require united action.

“The time has come for Islamic countries to work together with equal effort,” Fidan said, adding that nations like Iran and Turkey can help resolve conflicts within the Muslim community.

He also acknowledged Iran’s progress since the Islamic Revolution, calling it “fast and dynamic.”
