Night of Power – Ramadan Digest (episode 15)

Laylatul Qadr, is hidden within the last ten nights. It is the night when the Qur’an was first revealed, a night of immense mercy and blessings. Allah describes it as “better than a thousand months” (Qur’an 97:3), meaning a single act of worship on this night surpasses the reward of 83 years.

This is the time to seek forgiveness, guidance, and divine mercy. The Prophet (pbuh) encouraged believers to search for it in the odd nights of the last ten days, spending the nights in prayer, Qur’an recitation, and supplication. Aisha (RA) asked the Prophet (pbuh) what to say on this night, and he taught her: (O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love to forgive, so forgive me.) [Tirmidhi 3513]

Health Tips

Combat Sleep Disruptions: Power naps (10-15 minutes) after Fajr or Dhuhr can reduce fatigue and improve concentration for late-night prayers. Sipping coconut water or electrolyte-rich drinks after Iftar can prevent dehydration during long night vigils.

Try these options: Fresh Lemon Water with Honey & Pink Salt – A homemade electrolyte booster that restores sodium, potassium, and magnesium levels.
Watermelon Juice – Rich in potassium and water content, helping to rehydrate and reduce muscle cramps.
Cucumber & Mint Infused Water – Helps cool the body while replenishing potassium and sodium naturally.

Today’s Challenge

Practice a Sunnah that isn’t common in your routine—using miswak, eating with three fingers, sitting down to drink water, or smiling intentionally at others. Call or message three people and ask what dua they would love you to make for them tonight. In return, ask them to do the same for you.

Qur’an Verse of the Day

“Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. They used to sleep but little of the night, and in the hours before dawn, they would seek forgiveness. And in their wealth, there was a right for the beggar and the deprived.” (Surah Adh-Dhariyat 51:15-19)

Hadiths

“Whoever stands (in prayer) on Laylatul Qadr out of faith and seeking reward, all his previous sins will be forgiven.” (Sahih Bukhari 1901, Sahih Muslim 760)

“The five daily prayers, Jumu’ah to Jumu’ah, and Ramadan to Ramadan expiate sins committed in between, as long as major sins are avoided.” (Sahih Muslim 233)

May the nights be filled with light, mercy, and endless blessings for you and your loved ones.
