The Companion praises Nigerian lawyer for his work in law, education, and community service

A Muslim professional group, The Companion, has congratulated Yusuf Olaolu Ali on receiving an honorary doctorate degree, describing it as recognition of his years of service to the legal profession and society.

In a statement released on Sunday, signed by its National Amir Imam Nojeem and Publicity Secretary Tunde Akanni, the group said the award reflects Ali’s commitment to justice, legal development, and values rooted in Islam.

Ali, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), was praised for his strong presence in both legal practice and academics. The group said he has remained a respected figure in the legal field, known for his professionalism and dedication.

The Companion also commended the University of Abuja for honouring him, describing the decision as well deserved. It added that Ali is known for his discipline, integrity, and commitment to the rule of law.

The group further highlighted his role in mentoring young lawyers and his contribution to legal education, including his position at the Federal University Oye Ekiti. It also noted his support for education through philanthropy, especially for less privileged members of society.

The Companion said the award is a fitting recognition of Ali’s impact, describing him as a role model in the legal profession and a man of strong values.
