The Muslim community in Kwara State and beyond is mourning the death of Sheikh Abdulqodir Kamalud-deen, the Khalifatul Adabiyyah Worldwide, who passed away on Friday in Ilorin.

Tributes from across the country have described the late cleric as a respected Islamic scholar, spiritual guide, and leader who devoted his life to the service of Islam and the Muslim Ummah.

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq said the scholar would be remembered for his wisdom, patience, humility, and commitment to the unity of Muslims. He added that the late Sheikh left behind a legacy that would continue to inspire generations.

The Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria also paid tribute to the cleric, praising his lifelong dedication to Islamic teachings, moral development, and community service.

Sheikh Abdulqodir was the eldest surviving son of Sheikh Muhammad Kamalud-deen Al-Adaby and was widely known for preserving and strengthening the Adabiyyah Islamic movement established by his father.

Condolence messages also came from Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari and Senator Saliu Mustapha, who both described his passing as a great loss to the Ilorin Emirate, the Muslim Ummah, and the wider society.

The late scholar was laid to rest on Friday in Ilorin, with prayers offered for Allah’s mercy, forgiveness, and admission into Al-Jannah Al-Firdaus.
