In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. All perfect praise is due to Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, the Lord of the Worlds. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah, and Muhammad (pbuh), is His slave and final Messenger.

Introduction
Among the weekly acts of devotion encouraged by the Prophet (peace be upon him), reading Surah Al-Kahf every Friday is a powerful practice. It is a Sunnah that carries immense reward and relevance in times of confusion and trials.

The Prophet pbuh said: “Whoever reads Surah Al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, a light will shine for him between this Friday and the next.” (Narrated by Al-Haakim; authenticated by Al-Albani in Sahih al-Jami’, 6470)

In another narration: “Whoever memorizes the first ten verses of Surah Al-Kahf will be protected from the Dajjal.” (Sahih Muslim, 809)

One Will Ask Why Surah Al-Kahf?
This surah offers four major stories—each carrying timeless lessons:

1. The People of the Cave – Youth who fled to preserve their faith.

2. The Man with the Two Gardens – A reminder against arrogance and attachment to worldly wealth.

3. Musa and Khidr – The value of divine wisdom beyond apparent logic.

4. Dhul-Qarnayn – Justice, power, and the responsibility of leadership.

Each of these prepares the believer for trials of faith, wealth, knowledge, and authority, mirroring the tests of the modern world.

Take a moment every Friday to recite or listen to Surah Al-Kahf. Reflect on its stories and seek its light. It is not only a shield against the Dajjal but a torch in the darkness of the week, a spiritual reset and a reminder of your divine purpose.

“So perhaps you would kill yourself through grief over them, [O Muhammad], if they do not believe in this message, out of sorrow.” (Surah Al-Kahf, 18:6)

Let us not be of those who ignored guidance when it was offered. Let us hold on to the light of Friday, and the lessons of Al-Kahf.
