ASSMUN Condemns Killing of 16 Muslims in Uromi

PRESS RELEASE ON THE GRUESOME MOB KILLINGS OF MUSLIMS IN UROMI EDO STATE BY A GROUP OF CHRISTIAN TERRORISTS

The leaders of the Association of South South Muslim Ummah of Nigeria … ASSMUN condemn in strongest terms and with disheartening views the gruesome killings of 16 muslims of the Northern extraction at Uromi Edo State on their way to join their kindred in sallah celebrations.

It is most barbaric and unacceptable.

We hereby call on all Ummah in the region and other Muslims Ummah to remain calm and peaceful as we shall partner with relevant security agencies to uncover the remotest clue and whoever is behind this heinous threat to National cohesion.

It is highly provocative especially at this time of global fasting and sanctimonious season.

We pray may Allah receive the souls of the deceased into Al jannah Firdaus and comfort the bereaved family.

INNALILLAHI Wa INNA ALAYHI RAJUN.

Signed:
Prince Jibril Ette ayu-Akpanim Akpoti
Secretary General ASSMUN
