Ajomagberin Takes Helm at Lagos Muslim Pilgrims BoardBy

The Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has welcomed a new era under the leadership of its newly appointed Board Secretary, Mr. AbdulHakeem Ajomagberin. Stepping into the role with a commitment to service excellence, Ajomagberin has pledged to transform the board into a model of efficiency and professionalism in pilgrimage management.

Addressing staff members upon his assumption of office, he emphasized teamwork, improved staff welfare, and the collective pursuit of the board’s statutory mandate, ensuring a seamless and comfortable pilgrimage experience for Muslims in Lagos State. His appointment by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu underscores the administration’s continued focus on strengthening institutional frameworks for religious affairs.

New Muslim Pilgrims Board Secretary assumes office

promises to make the Board a model of service delivery

The newly appointed Board Secretary, Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mr. AbdulHakeem Ajomagberin has officially resumed office with a promise to make the Board a model of service delivery.

Mr. Ajomagberin who was received on Wednesday by the heads of departments and units as well other members of staff, sought the maximum support and cooperation of the staff in order to actualize the statutory mandate of the Board, which is providing conducive and comfortable avenue for the pilgrims during the Hajj and Umrah exercises.

He noted that he was appointed as the Board Secretary to come and serve, adding that he could not singlehandedly achieve the goals without team work and support of the staff.

Ajomagberin who promised to work assiduously with a view to improving staff welfare, expressed his gratitude to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, his deputy, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat and the Head of Service (HoS) Mr. Olabode Shuaeeb Agoro, for the trust and confidence they reposed in him by appointing him as the Board Secretary.

Most of the heads of department and units who spoke on behalf of generality of the staff promised to extend to the new Board Secretary their loyalty, cooperation and support as was given to his predecessor, Mr. Saheed Onipede.

Mr. Ajomagberin who is a thorough bred administrator was prior to his present appointment, the Director, Administration and Human Resource, Lagos State Primary Health Care Board.
