The Ministry of Tourism has directed all hospitality establishments in Makkah not to provide accommodation with those who do not possess a Hajj permit or an official entry permit for work or staying in the city during the Hajj season.

This directive will take effect starting from Dhul Qada 1, 1446, corresponding to April 29, 2025, and will remain in place until the end of the Hajj season.

This announcement aligns with the recent statement from the Ministry of Interior regarding arrangements and procedures aimed at safeguarding the well-being of pilgrims and ensuring they can perform Hajj safely, securely, and peacefully. The Ministry of Interior stressed that, as of Tuesday, April 29, individuals holding any type of visa other than a Hajj visa will not be permitted to enter or remain in Makkah.

The Ministry of Tourism noted that hospitality facilities are strictly prohibited from housing individuals who come under the Ministry of Interior’s announcement during the specified period. This measure is part of the comprehensive efforts to ensure the safety and security of the Hajj season in coordination with other government entities.

The ministry also reaffirmed the obligation of all hospitality establishments in Makkah to adhere to the regulations and procedures governing the 2025 Hajj season. It called for full cooperation with relevant authorities to safeguard pilgrims and reiterated that violators will face punitive measures.
