Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim meets Nairobi mosque leaders to advance education, Da’wah, and global Quran initiatives

Amid a tight official schedule in Kenya, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim met with the leader of Jamia Mosque in Nairobi to advance the development of the ummah, with a strong focus on education and Da’wah.

Anwar said the meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on strengthening institutions and building a morally upright, capable society. He reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to elevating the stature of Islam as a faith that upholds well-being, tolerance, and compassion.

The Prime Minister emphasised the importance of education, responsible Da’wah, inter-civilisational dialogue, and closer cooperation with the Muslim community in Kenya. He also reiterated Malaysia’s resolve to continue printing and publishing the Qur’an in various languages for global distribution, highlighting the beauty, moderation, and mercy at the heart of Islamic teachings.

During the meeting, Anwar presented a special edition of the Qur’an along with Swahili-translated copies as a symbol of knowledge dissemination and the strengthening of ties.
