Lajna Imaillah (the group of women devoted to Allah) Doncaster reaches out with essential supplies to uplift vulnerable residents and strengthen community bonds in the UK city.

Women from Doncaster’s Muslim community have donated food and essential supplies to the Edlington Community Organisation (ECO) to support vulnerable families across the area.

The donation was made by members of Lajna Imaillah Doncaster, the Women’s Auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, representing Baitul Baseer Mosque in Doncaster, a city located in South Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom.

The initiative reflects the group’s long-standing commitment to community service, a value deeply rooted in Ahmadiyya Muslim teachings.

Young female volunteers led the effort, driven by the belief that serving humanity is a core expression of Islamic faith.

“Our community believes that without service to the creation of God, our service to God remains incomplete,” said Zunaira Mahmood, President of Lajna Imaillah Doncaster.

She added that the group is guided by the teachings of Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, who constantly encourages acts of service to all—regardless of faith or background.

ECO, which supports residents facing food insecurity, financial strain and isolation, welcomed the gesture, describing it as a meaningful boost during difficult times.

Mrs Mahmood noted that communities thrive when people support one another and expressed hope that the contribution would encourage others to engage in charitable acts.
