Islamic Resistance targets a naval battleship 68 nautical miles off Lebanese coast in response to ongoing Israeli attacks on villages and infrastructure.

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon (Hezbollah) announced that it struck an Israeli military battleship at dawn on Sunday, located 68 nautical miles off the Lebanese coast, as it prepared to carry out attacks on Lebanese territory.
According to a statement reviewed by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the operation involved a naval cruise missile, after the target had been closely monitored for several hours. Hezbollah confirmed a direct hit on the warship.
In Statement No. 5, the group said: “Now at sea, the Israeli military warship that attacked our infrastructure, people’s homes, and civilians, look at it burning.”
The statement added: “In defense of Lebanon and its people, and in response to the Israeli enemy’s continued bombardment of villages and cities, destruction of infrastructure, and displacement of civilians, the mujahedeen of the Islamic Resistance targeted an Israeli warship at 00:05 on Sunday, April 5, 2026. The warship was preparing to launch attacks on Lebanese territory. The targeting operation was carried out with a naval cruise missile after the target had been monitored for hours, and a direct hit was confirmed.”
Hezbollah’s actions continue as part of its response to the escalation of Israeli attacks that began on March 2.
