The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) held a coordination meeting on Sunday with representatives from its member states to discuss plans and initiatives for the second quarter of 2026. The session focused on the IMCTC’s strategy, which is built around four main areas: intellectual, media, counter-terrorism financing, and military operations.

IMCTC Secretary General Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi emphasized the importance of continuous coordination and consultation among member states to effectively fight terrorism and strengthen both regional and international counter-terrorism capabilities.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the progress of ongoing initiatives and assessed their performance indicators. They also discussed key operational challenges and explored opportunities to improve collaboration among member states, aiming to enhance the efficiency of strategy implementation.

The coalition further considered ways to develop specialized initiatives and expand training programs to boost member states’ abilities in preventing extremism, countering terrorism financing, improving military readiness, and supporting media efforts against extremist narratives.
