The initiative aims at expanding Quran learning and promote Islamic values across communities

The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, through its Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance, has launched 14 new Quran study circles for teaching recitation at different Quran learning centres across the country. The move is part of its ongoing efforts to promote the teaching of the Holy Quran and encourage greater engagement with it.

In a statement, the ministry said the initiative is in line with its strategic plans to expand Quranic programmes and make recitation and tajweed classes accessible to all groups in society. It added that the classes follow a structured and reliable learning method and are supervised by qualified instructors.
The ministry explained that the new study circles are spread across several Quran centres located in mosques in different areas.

The Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance said the study circles will hold four times a week, from Sunday to Wednesday, between Maghrib and Isha prayers. It noted that the schedule is designed to make participation easier and encourage regular attendance.

The department added that registration can be done directly at the centres during session times. Interested individuals can also call 16577 for more information.

The ministry said the initiative is part of a broader vision to strengthen the role of the Holy Quran in the lives of individuals and society, promote Islamic values, and raise a generation skilled in Quran recitation. It also stated that more study circles and Quran centres will be introduced in the future to meet the increasing demand for learning the Quran.
