President says strong planning and unity helped prevent shortages despite war and sanctions

Masoud Pezeshkian has praised Iran’s economic management during what he described as pressure from the United States and Israel, saying the country was able to maintain stability despite war conditions and sanctions.

Speaking in Tehran, he said Iranians did not face major shortages in essential goods even during the conflict period. He credited this to government planning and coordination in managing supply chains and basic needs.

Pezeshkian added that strong coordination among officials and unity in decision-making played an important role in handling the situation. He said reaching agreement among leaders, especially on economic issues, is difficult but necessary during crises.

He also stressed that national unity helped the country remain stable under pressure, saying it was a key factor in overcoming wartime challenges.

The president further said the country’s experience during the 40-day conflict should be properly documented and presented in clear public narratives.

The report also recalled that tensions rose after military strikes were carried out, followed by counterattacks by Iranian forces on US and Israeli positions in the region, which increased regional tensions.
