Saudi Arabia mobilises all efforts to ensure safe and organised pilgrimage

Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman has ordered that all resources be used to ensure this year’s Hajj is carried out smoothly and safely.

Speaking during a Cabinet meeting in Jeddah, the Crown Prince, on behalf of King Salman, welcomed pilgrims arriving from across the world. He said Saudi Arabia is honoured to serve the holy mosques in Makkah and Madinah and to care for all visitors.

Officials said the government will provide high-quality services for pilgrims in all key areas, including the holy sites, as well as airports, land borders, and seaports.

During the meeting, the Crown Prince also briefed the Cabinet on his recent talks with Xi Jinping and meetings with leaders from Sudan, Pakistan, and the European Union.

The Cabinet discussed Saudi Arabia’s role in global cooperation and its efforts to support peace and dialogue. It also reviewed developments in the Strait of Hormuz, noting that the Kingdom remains able to supply energy globally despite regional tensions.

On the economic side, officials welcomed a new five-year plan by the Public Investment Fund to support growth under Vision 2030. They also highlighted a 15 percent rise in non-oil exports in 2025.

Saudi Arabia was also ranked first globally in digital readiness, showing progress in technology and innovation.

The Cabinet approved several agreements with other countries and confirmed continued support for workers helping with Hajj and Umrah services.
