Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says U.S. President Donald Trump now faces two difficult options: pursue military confrontation with Iran or accept a deal on Tehran’s terms.

The remarks were made by the IRGC Intelligence Organization in a post on X on Sunday after Iran submitted what it described as a broad proposal aimed at permanently ending the conflict with the United States and Israel.

According to the statement, recent developments have reduced Washington’s room for manoeuvre and placed pressure on the White House to make a decision.

The IRGC said growing international shifts in tone from countries including China, Russia and parts of Europe, along with U.S. actions in Congress and ongoing negotiations, show that choices for Washington are becoming more limited.

The latest conflict began on February 28 when U.S. and Israeli strikes targeted Iran, leading to a series of retaliatory attacks by Tehran against American and Israeli interests in the region.

Iran also imposed restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz affecting vessels linked to its adversaries, citing security concerns in the strategic waterway.

A temporary ceasefire later took effect on April 8 through mediation by Pakistan, but initial talks between Tehran and Washington ended without an agreement.

Trump later extended the truce, while the United States also introduced naval pressure measures against Iran.

Iranian officials have so far declined to commit to another round of talks, saying U.S. demands and actions against Iranian shipping remain key obstacles.
