Iranian parliament speaker says any future aggression against Iran will face a strong response

Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, has declared that the era of making threats against Iran without consequences is over, warning that any future aggression would be met with a firm response.

In a message marking the anniversary of the death of the founder of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, Ghalibaf said recent confrontations involving Iran, the United States and Israel show that Tehran is prepared to defend its interests.

The parliament speaker, who also heads Iran’s negotiating team in talks with Washington, said the late Imam Khomeini taught Iranians to resist pressure and never surrender to what he described as bullying by foreign powers.

According to Ghalibaf, Iran has demonstrated that attacks or threats against the country will no longer come without repercussions, adding that any aggression would receive a decisive and proportional response.

He also paid tribute to Imam Khomeini’s legacy, saying his teachings continue to inspire Iranians in areas such as national defence, development and public service.
