Iran’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned what it described as fresh “aggression” by the United States, warning that Washington will be fully responsible for any dangerous consequences resulting from its actions.

In a statement released on Thursday, the ministry said the United States carried out a “massive attack” on Iran the previous night, describing it as a terrorist act and a clear violation of international law.

It stated that the attacks were a “gross violation” of the United Nations Charter and international rules, particularly those protecting national sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.

The ministry also said the April 8, 2026 ceasefire had now been rendered “practically meaningless” due to the latest developments.

It further accused the United States of using the territory and facilities of some regional countries to launch attacks on Iran, warning that such countries could be considered as siding with aggressors if they allow their territory to be used in that way.

Iran stressed that it holds regional countries morally and legally responsible to prevent the US military from using their land, facilities, or resources to carry out attacks against it, and said it reserves the right to defend itself against such actions.

The ministry also called on United Nations member states, the Security Council, and the UN Secretary-General to respond to what it described as clear violations of international law, warning that silence or vague responses would encourage further aggression and instability.
