Mahmoud Abbas, the president of Palestinian praises the statements made by Saudi Arabia in support of Palestinian rights, ending the Gaza war, halting the West Bank annexation, and preventing displacement of the Palestinians.
The President hailed the positions of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the efforts of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in support of the Palestinian people and their just rights.
President Abbas also welcomed the statements of Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, which affirmed the Kingdom’s support for U.S. President Donald Trump’s efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip and reiterated Saudi Arabia’s rejection of the annexation of the West Bank.
He emphasized that these statements reflect and align with the Palestinian position, as well as with the stance of all countries striving to end the war and establish peace in the region and the world.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi Council of Ministers on Tuesday reaffirmed its readiness to cooperate with the United States to achieve a comprehensive agreement to end the war in Gaza, implement a complete Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and ensure the delivery of sufficient humanitarian aid without restrictions.
This, it stated, would strengthen efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, guaranteeing the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Kingdom also welcomed President Trump’s statement that he would not allow the annexation of the West Bank to Israel.
