The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting zakat payers by providing an integrated service that responds to public inquiries on zakat rulings in Qatar.
Through its Zakat Affairs Department, the ministry offers guidance on calculating different forms of zakat, including zakat on money, commercial goods, shares, gold, silver and other zakatable assets. The service is available to both individuals and businesses.
Members of the public can also contact a dedicated phone line, 44700071, where qualified Sharia specialists provide prompt and accurate responses to zakat-related questions and issue relevant rulings.
In addition to phone support, the department provides an electronic zakat calculator via its official website and smart application. The tool is designed to help users calculate their zakat correctly in line with Sharia requirements, while also offering access to online fatwa services.
Head of the Zakat Services Section, Ahmed Jaber Al-Jarbouei, said the department places strong emphasis on direct engagement with the public, describing the inquiry service as a core pillar of its work in promoting zakat awareness and religious confidence.
He added that the ministry continues to improve its digital platforms and services to ensure ease of access, noting that rising public use reflects trust in the accuracy and reliability of the guidance provided.
Al-Jarbouei encouraged individuals and companies to promptly fulfil their zakat obligations, praying for blessings and growth in their wealth.
