Emir Urges Ansarul Islam Leaders to Uphold Founder’Legacy

By Sadiq Abdulfatah

The Emir of Ilorin and Life Patron of the Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has urged the newly elected National Executive Council of the society to remain committed to the vision and legacy of its founder, Sheikh Muhammad Kamaldeen Al-Adaby.

The Emir gave the advice while receiving the new national executives during a courtesy and familiarisation visit to his palace in Ilorin.

He called on the new leadership to remain steadfast in the propagation of Islam, the promotion of moral values and selfless service to humanity, describing them as the principles on which the society was founded.

The monarch also stressed the need for unity, dedication and exemplary leadership in advancing the goals of the Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria. He prayed that Allah grants the executives wisdom, strength and success in carrying out their responsibilities.

Speaking during the visit, the National President of the society, Alhaji Sarafadeen Alabelewe, thanked the Emir for his fatherly support, guidance and prayers.

He assured the royal father that the new leadership would remain committed to the vision of the society’s founding fathers and continue to promote Islamic education, peace and national development.

The visit was part of the National Executive Council’s engagements with key stakeholders following its election at the 51st National Delegates Conference.

The delegation included the National Missioner of the Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria, Sheikh Abdulmumini Anafi Ayara; the Third National Vice President, Alhaji Abdulkadir Funsho Abdulkareem; the Registrar of Muhammad Kamaldeen University, Engr. Alhaji Musa Kamaldeen; the National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Gesua Abdulyekini; and other national officers and members of the society.
